Pride in the Park at the Melrose Farmers' Market
Let's celebrate Pride together at the Melrose Farmers' Market in partnership with EPiC (Engaging Parents in Conversation), Melrose Human Rights Commission, and Melrose Together. EPiC supports caregivers and parents of LGBTQ+ youth and meets monthly.
Information about EPiC as well as a fundraiser for OKRA Project will be on hand at the non-profit table at the market.
Pride stickers and swag will be handed out until supplies last.

In partnership with Melrose Human Rights Commission MLK Day(s) of Service, Melrose Kid’s (of all ages) BAKE, PACKAGE, DROP OFF, DONE! It's that simple and will mean so much!
Each week, the Bread of Life in Malden serves evening meals to local neighbors in need. Since the pandemic started, nightly meal service has increased and they are now serving 80-140 meals per night, Tuesday through Friday every week.

Wicked Melrose’s Rise of the Pumpkin People
In partnership with the Melrose Rec Department and the Melrose Farmers' Market, we bring you Wicked Melrose's Return of the Pumpkin People!
More than Halloween house decorating, we invite you to get creative with our citywide theme of Pumpkin People.
How to participate:
1. Buy (at a discount!) a pumpkin at the Farmers’ Market, Oct 21 and check out our “tips and tricks” on how to design and build Pumpkin People
2. Design and build your Pumpkin People display over the weekend
3. Take a photo and upload it to our map! Available Oct 22 for Pumpkin People participants
4. Stroll and visit all the Melrose Pumpkin People over Halloween weekend!

Housing Families is hoping to collect 500 (FIVE HUNDRED!) backpacks for identified students in need. You can help in 2 different ways:

(Backpacks should be dropped off on Monday, August 16 between 8-10am and 4-6pm in the front of Temple Beth Shalom 21 East Foster Street, Melrose)

Families were encouraged to enjoy a picnic meal out on their front lawn (or inside if rainy), and to order something from one of our local restaurants or businesses to enjoy!
National Unicon Day in Melrose
Our magical community celebrated its first ever Unicorn Day after Mayor Paul Brodeur made a campaign promise to the kids of Melrose.
